The Honda PCX 160 is one of the most popular scooters in Thailand, and for good reason. A wide seat, a relaxed riding position and a big (for this class) 8.1 L tank let you ride around the island all day without stopping for fuel. It feels noticeably steadier at speed than compact scooters and does not shimmy over bumps.
There is a roomy compartment under the seat and a small pocket up front. The PCX is good solo and with a passenger: on long rides to Nai Harn, Surin or the Promthep viewpoint the passenger is comfortable and the rider is not cramped.

The PCX 160 rides smoothly and calmly: a wide seat, soft suspension and an 8.1 L tank. It is comfortable for a run from Patong or Kata south to Nai Harn and Promthep Cape and back in a day, with stops at beaches. It takes climbs without fuss and does not feel nervous over bumps.
The under-seat compartment suits small items, an umbrella and a rain jacket. Two people with daypacks have enough room for a full day out.
